What Causes Pain In Femur Bone?

I am having pain in my femur bone. Was hospitalized last week, they did mri s, CT scans, X-rays and even aspirated my left hip which was replaced three times. They came up with bursitis. Gave me cortisone shot put me on prednisone medal dose pack which I finished last Friday. Pain seemed to subside and now it s back again. Just want to get a correct diagnosis.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

PET scan will be useful now to establish the nature of pathology.

As you have bursitis after the total hip replacement surgery,
I suggest you to consult another Orthopedic surgeon (preferably a Joint replacement surgeon who has not done your surgery) for a detailed examination, workup and further management depending upon the nature of pathology.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
