What Causes Pain In Chest And Back With Continuous Burping After Eating?

I started having some discomfort under my left rib cage last night. I then have had a couple of extended episodes of hiccups and burping. I have had discomfort after eating today. And some pain through to my back. I have a history of SLE and Sjogrens. Also have had many abdominal surgeries and a bowel obstruction in the past.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It may vary from simple gastritis but I will recommend ECG, BP and pulse monitoring and once physical examination should be done. Did you eat something unusual last day? Do an abdominal X-ray if you have past history. Take normal diet for a few days. Take other meds as usual.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
