What Causes Pain In Chest After Deep Breath?

I use Meth and I smoke it I have been smoking for 3 years now and as of yesterday my chest has been feeling different.. I have a sharp pain when I take a deep breath and especially when I cough what could it be.. I will be 30 Monday 09/12 I Weight about 160 - 150. I have been fairly healthy. Hospitialized once in 2009 for pneumonia.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM....

According to your history possibility.......
-Bronchitis or emphysema like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
-Diffuse fibrosing restrictive disease
-pneumonia if fever there.

Chest x ray , auscultation and pulmonary function test useful for differentiating these.
According to cause treatment might needed with antibiotic , bronchodilator etc.....

If no respi causes found then ECG or echo needed for cardiac cause.
