What Causes Pain In Back Of Chest, Rapid Pulse And Pain In Heart?
Hi! I m a 18 year old female and i occasionally experience heart palpitations and pain in my heart or my heart pounds for seemingly no reason. My family and doctors don t seem worried, and I have had an EKG and I wore a heart monitor for a few weeks two years ago. However my little heart episodes are becoming more frequent, especially at night before bed and i was just awakened by a sharp pain in the back of my chest accompanied by a rapid pulse and my heart hurts a little. I just want to make sure that everything is okay. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

short answer : the pain in the chest has to be evaluated before a proper diagnosis
detailed answer: the cause of chest pain radiating to your back side with rapid pulse has to be evaluated for getting into a proper diagnosis.
i would like to take another EKG orECG now and the result of your previous EKG is needed.
your blood pressure and heart rates.
the next thing needed is a stress ecg. or tredmill test
the next thing is i want a chest xray PA view
blood investigations like lipid profile ,complete blood count. are also needed
if all these things are normal pleural rub or muscle pain may be the reason behind that.
kindly review with these results.
