What Causes Pain In Abdomen?

What could be causing the pain in the lower left quadrant in my abdomen. Had it earlier today. Went to the bathroom 3x for a bm not diarrhea. Had some gas took gas x and laid down for awhile . Felt better for awhile. Now about 4hrs. later the pain is back maybe even a little worse. If I push on the area it is a little tender, maybe a slight lumg.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you have left lower side abdominal pain...

It could be according to history......
-colitis (bacterial )
-non specific colitis
-diverticulitis

Here initially you can take antibiotic like ornidazole plus oflixacin...
More fruits.
Soft and bland diet taken....
As you have diarrhea maintain hydration.
Probiotic can be taken....
Non veg food avoided...
Avoid stress.

If no improvement USG or colonoscopy needed.
Stool examination might needed as if occult blood positive parasitic like amebiasis or inflammatory bowel disease suspected.

Sweet potato good food for digestive benefit.
Cooked oatmeal also good one.
