Hello. Thankyou for contacting HCM. Most likely possibility is that your husband is suffering from UTI ( urinary tract infection). If the fever is under control and there is only little blood at the end of urination then you can wait till the next working day to consult your local physician. The doctor will most likely run some tests to rule out any infection or stones and then suggest appropriate treatment accordingly. Please contact ER immediately if the fever doesnt settle or there is severe pain associated with urination or there is increase in amount of bleeding. I hope this answers your query.
