What Causes Pain During Defecation Post Intake Of Miralax?

I have ibs with both constipation and diarrhea. I haven t gone for 4 days so I took miralax to help me. The first I took it I went but normal. The 2nd day I took it, I ended up with ibs excruciating pain, gurgling and I went 5 times with the last 2 times being diarrhea in the evening. I took miralax twice in the morning but the pain didn t hit me until evening of the 2nd day. My question is...why did miralax did this to me?

Well come to HCM
Thank for asking and appreciate your concern, IBS is the functional kind of disease and as long as the symptoms are concern it is very uncertain and not specific even not related with the pathophysiology or the drugs that you have taken but it is all due to the functional elements which plays the greater role as long as the abdomen pain and other symptoms are concern and it is not the drug responsible for that, hope this information helps.
