Hi,

Achalasia Cardia is narrowing of the lower part of esophagus, causing dilatation of the proximal part; the exact cause is not known, although loss of nerves in this area is thought to be the cause. Hence the modalities are different in case of different cases as per severity. Dilatation of the constricted segment is the first and a known treatment.

In failed cases surgery may be planned. I would advise you to take her to the Gastro center where such cases are done routinely. Get Barium studies done. Contrast enhanced CT scan helps to rule out some other problems.
*Proper care can help her to get better.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
