What Causes Pain Beneath Rib Cage In The Middle Of Stomach?

For the past couple days I have been having really bad pain right beneath my rib cage in the middle of my stomach. It hurts so bad I cant sleep and the only thing that makes me feel remotely better is laying on my stomach and putting pressure where it hurts. The pain gets a lot worse after I eat also. What s wrong?

I have studied your case and I think that you might be having either gastritis or liver problem. I would recommend you to get ultrasound examination of the abdomen. if there is any swelling in liver, or any other visceral problem than treatment can be done accordingly. Also if ultrasound is normal than a upper gastrointestinal endoscopy can also be tried.
I would recommend you to take proton pump inhibitor like Esmoprazole one daily tablet. Also avoid eating very spicy or oily food . Do not sleep just after eating as it can cause acidity.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
