What Causes Pain Around The Kidneys After Recovering From Strep Throat?

Hello, I was diagnosed with strep throat on Tuesday November 22nd. I am currently on a 10 day cycle of penicillin and my throat feels much better. The last couple of days I noticed minor pain in my left kidney. I was unable to sleep on my left side because of it. Today the pain has moved to my right side and is more severe. The pain extends into my groin & I have numbness down my right leg.

It is always advised that you should visit your doctor if you get pain in kidney after and episode of sore throat by a strept. as strept can affect your kidneys and cause pot streprt Glomerulo nephritis, this is a serious condition and can cause quick damage to the kidneys, I would suggest you not to panic much but this problem needs to be taken care of.
