What Causes Pain Around The Hips, Groin And Thighs?

I am a 50 yr old female who has been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines. I m dealing with it but I have different symptoms occurring now and I need opinion and guidance. I have pain in my right outer hip, groin, front of thigh, buttocks and foot. I had an issue with the buttocks about a year ago. Received cortisone and it resolved. About that same time my left thumb suddenly was swollen, red, painful and diagnosed as arthritis. Never got any better. Now, it s the other areas for about 3 months and I can hardly w alk or lift right leg. These symptoms come over night. I am pigeon toed and flat footed as well, but never had too many issues. Th is so painful and getting unbearable. Arthritis? Or should I be more concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a physician and plan for an ultrasound scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
