What Causes Pain Around The Groin?

Had a davinci hysterectomy due to prolapse along with bladder sling and sacro copoplexy 4 days ago. Kept my cervix. I ve had a burning like pain in right groin ever since. It is better but even hurts to touch. Surgeon said no worries between positioning use of instruments as well as sutures it s going to calm down in about two weeks. Just concerned about nerve damage. Thoughts?

Hi,

After the surgery, some pain due to sutures is expected. If the pain intensity increases you should see the physician in order to exclude infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta Guni,
Endocrinologist
