Hello,

Maybe there is a definite ligament injury due to the unnoticed trivial trauma. Kindly get an x-ray done to rule out a hairline fracture.

If it is just a tendonitis or ligament tear, then give rest to your left foot, take antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medicines. A judicious use of painkillers might also be necessary if the pain is more.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
