What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Cheeks After A Dental Procedure?

I had a simple procedure to set my tooth up for a crown. He gave me about 10 shots to get me numb. Not waiting long in between ea shot. My cheek has been badly swollen for 7 days now. This morning it went into my neck. Dentist xrayed and tooth is fine. He gave me antibiotics but no changes. There is also no discoloring. Just swollen and sore. What could have happened?

Hi...

Welcome to healthcare magic.

After taking dental treatment you have problem of swelling at cheek area.

During giving a nerve block may be some damage to surrounding structure..
Anti inflammatory drugs also helpful...
Consult your dental surgery for further treatment.
Avoid trauma at affected area..
Maintain a proper hygiene..
Oral examination give exact idea about problems.
After one week still swelling is same size than consult a dental surgery for further treatment.

I hope my guidance helpful to you..
Get well soon..
Thank you.
