What Causes Pain And Swelling In The Body?

I have a friend that is suffering with swelling in various body parts, warm to the touch and pain in those spots. It seems to be moving throughout his body starting with the feet and up. What could this be? At the hospital they couldn t find a thing but it s still going on.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Painful multiple skin swelling are seen with multiple cellulitis (infection of skin).
It is commonly seen with diabetes.
So better to first get done sugar levels for diabetes.
Another possibility is autoimmune disease.
So also get done serum ANA profile and titer.
Also involve dermatologist in the treatment for better outcome.
