What Causes Pain And Swelling Between My Right Shoulder Blade And Spine?

i have pain and swelling between my right shouder blade and spine. i also have pain in chest and underarm. ive been to er twice and they told me costchondritis. each time they asked if i had any injury and said no , couldnt think of anything. tonight i remembered that i fell down the stairs and when i landed i felt a jolt down the middle of my back. i missed a couple of steps going down the stairs. i had x-rays done and lungs were clear. should i let my doctor know about the fall ?
