What Causes Pain And Swelling Around A Surgical Incision?

I have had a ct scan and they believe it is a hematoma. I had a tummy tuck and breast augmatation in January 2016. This lump or knot is out from my belly button to the right side, it feels as big as a white baking potato. is this dangerous? I ve had some bleeding and have had a hysterectomy. this was my third surgery on breast because one of the first two ruputured and doctor cut on the right side of breast to put new implants in. Feburary of this year had neck surgery, bone infusion in two of my cartilages. What am I to do? It hurts some where this lump in stomach is and looks swollen?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an infection.

I suggest you do an ultrasound and a complete blood count to confirm the diagnosis.

I also recommend going to the emergency room for further treatment.

Prescribed antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
