What Causes Pain And Stiffness In The Neck After Taking Amoxicillin And Clavulanate Potassim?
I have been taking Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassim Tablets, USP 875m/125mg* for 6 days. On the 5th day I began experiencing stiffness in my neck and within a few hours I could barely move my neck without severe pain. Is this a common side effect of Amoxicillin?

It may be due to cervical spondylosis or neck muscles spasm or also possible that Amoxicillin induced aseptic meningitis.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet paracetamol thrice a day for five days. Get an x-ray of cervical spine AP and lateral view.
