What Causes Pain And Stiffness In Neck Post An Injury?

When I was going home yesterday, something bad happened to me . as I was walking all of a sudden something shoot me in my head like a dislocation and it went straight to my brain that I almost lost my balance, so I held on to a door and waited for few seconds for me to get my balance and for the pain to subside. I continued walking to the train station and got my train. I went to bed and slept well but since today I have been having stiff neck with pain and I cannot turn my head to the left.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thanks for posting on HCN
Pain in neck could be caused by
-stress/strain
-Neck osteoarthritis
-Cervical neurpopathy
I will suggest youtry the following:
*Rest well
*Take a pain drug like aceclofenac
*A myorelaxant like miorel
If symtpoms persist, you see the Doctor for examination and a neck x ray or scan
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
