What Causes Pain And Protruding Veins In The Legs?

Why am I all of a sudden getting loads of veins on my legs? They re very prominent and I have never suffered from visible veins accept these past couple of months when I have had aches and pains in my legs? I have lots of spider veins aswell as varicose ones, and they re quite big. I have recently been told I have anemia. Could this be linked?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Apart of anemia, the loads of veins on your leg could be related to varicose veins. Get a Doppler ultrasound of the blood vessels on the legs to check it out.

Discuss it further with angiologist. Avoid standing for long periods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

All the best.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
