What Causes Pain And Numbness In Thigh And Toes Post Knee Replacement Surgery?

I am 54 and have spondylithisis and degenerative joint disease. I recently had a knee replacement and the doctor added a half inch to my leg because he said it was shorter than the other. The doctor didnt look at my back X-rays and didnt know about my back problem. Since I had the replacement I have had increased pain and numbness in my thigh and toes. could lenghthening my leg have caused the increased pain?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.

There may be nerve damage that happened during surgery and xrays wouldn't show it so it would be good to do MRI scan and electromiography for further evaluation.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
