Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain And Inflammation On The Upper Leg?
my upper leg ligaments seem to be inflamed and painful. This is the area where the leg joins the lower torso. This has persisted for about 7 days and the usual medication does not seem to be doing any good . It is in one leg only and it most painful when I sit down and try to lean back in a chair or sofa. Bending to get socks aon and tie shoes is most painful. Have to favor the leg when I walk. The only time it does not hurt is when I stand. What is the next best course of action, probably consult my doctor?
dear The postural pain that we are experiencing here might be related to the ligaments in that area. Are we having a trauma history? More over we have also to rule out the possibilities of weight gan these days, heavy muscular work or rheumatic issue. A knee cap can be tried for a relief before consulting an ortho surgeon.
Hope this helps. Most welcome for further discussion.
