What Causes Pain And Inflammation In The Toes?

All of my toes feel like they are swollen and about to bust, or you could say they feel like tight rubber bands are wrapped around them. When I am on my feet I don t have this problem it is not until I get off my feet especially when I lay down on my back the pain is so bad not to mention occasionally I get sharp shooting pain through some of my toes or the ball of the foot. What does this sound like it could be? Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi You have pain or feeling of tightness in your toes when you lay down on your back .This is probably due to pressure on the nerves in your spinal cord which in some cases increases on lying down on your back. Take pain killers ,muscle relaxants , and if no response in 2 weeks time , go for MRI Lower Back ans NCV test.
