What Causes Pain And Gas In Stomach?

i have a very painful and bloated tummy, sever lower back pains ...I have been experiencing pain in the right side of my abdomen, had a routine scan, it showed up a lot of gas and my GP has prescribed some laxative, which bloated me even more and now i am in more discomfort as before and I don t know what to take to calm it down ..

This may be what's called gall bladder dysfunction--the scan may not have shown any gall stones but your gall bladder may not be emptying properly, so I would get a HIDA scan to check for that. There are medications for the problem, but sometimes the gall bladder has to be surgically removed.

I would also screen you for an H pylori stomach infection and do upper endoscopy to look for a peptic ulcer. In the meantime, Prilosec or Zantac may help with that.
