What Causes Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing?

For about 6 weeks, I ve had what feels like a cut on my left tonsil. It really only hurts when I swallow cold drinks. It started after I swallowed a pill and I felt it hit my tonsil and get stuck in my throat. 2 weeks after that I got the flu, and I m still having minor drainage and cough from that. But the tonsil appears to have a tiny bump on it, same color as the tonsil. The tonsil doesn t appear swollen, but is slightly red on the area w/ the tiny bump.
