What Causes Pain And Congestion In The Ears?

I have had a dull pain in my ear since yesterday. I don t have any cold symptoms although I was congested early morning, but clear now. The pain is about a 2 and is now much more constant. I never get wax build up so that isn t it nor have I gone swimming.

Pain and congestion may be due to viral infection or eustachian tube block or acute rhinopharyngitis etc. Avoid cool'drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and alcohol. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. use tablet. All day dc twice a day for five days. If Symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
