What Causes Pain And Burning Sensation During Urination?

Hi doctor. I recently went in to get medication for a kidney infection. Ive noticed that though the pain has reduced in that area not only does it still hurt but it still burns when i pee. Its been 3 days since i was prescribed the medication. What should I do?

Hi, I think you should do a urine routine and microscopy and a culture. Drink around 3 to 4 litres of water per day and take some urine alkaliser like syrup alkasol. Also do a ultrasound to see the kidneys, ureter and bladder to rule out any other cause.
