yes I was hospitalized for one week because of ischemic colitis, during that stay I had two iv s that became infiltrated Now the vein running over my wrist bone is hurting and bulging out a little-it is the same arm I had the iv s in but not the site of the iv

IT IS DUE TO NERVE IRRITATION AROUND THE VEIN THAT WAS PUNCTURED.IT IS CALLED TINELS SIGN. :-)
GIVE IT SOME TIME..IT WILL SETTLE.
IF WITH REDNESS USE WARM COMPRESS OR USE TOPICAL HEPARIN OINTMENTS.
