Hello! I had a LEEP procedure in october and next day after it i started having discomfort in my right side of a pelvis. I woke up and felt like something tightened up there and it felt like a had a rubber inside me, i got scared. Later on i went ot emergency room because of vaginal bleeding and they did a CT scan which showed all is normal except i have a free fluid in cul de sac area and posterior pelvis. Noone can tell me which doctor i should see to recognize the problem and treat it. This luiquid gives me a lot of inconvenience during physical activities and sometimes i have pain and bloating in my pelvis. When i m upset for some reasons, it also cause pain and bloating. PLEASE, TELL ME WHICH DOCTOR SHOULD I SEE! Thank you! Julia

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted that you had undergone LEEP that is excision of the abnormal cervix by Electrocautery. Since this is an external procedure it can not cause any fluid in the pelvis and the other symptoms that you developed like something tightened there and felt like a rubber inside. CT at ER was showing fluid in the pelvis.
This could have been reactionary to the procedure and usually gets absorbed not causing any after effects.
If the fluid persists, one should get the fluid aspirated and sent for examination and analysis so that possible diagnosis can be had.
A course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines can help you.
But if the problems persists as you have explained, one can think of IBS or other such problems.
