What Causes Outbreak Of Small Red Lumps Behind The Ears?

This evening I noticed small red bumps on the back of my ears and on my head behind my ears. I have had some small sores on my head for some time. If I scratch them in the shower they bleed and hurt a little. I have used neosporin on these but they won't heal. Now I have the small bumps.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain small bumps behind the ears along with bumps on head that bleed on scratching seems to be due to hair follicle infection known as Folliculitis and is caused by Staphylococcus bacteria..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can advise you a course of antibiotics like Cephalosporins or Tetracycline and along with it topical application of antibiotic ointment or lotion like Fuscidic acid can be advised.
Massaging the scalp with steroid lotion to reduce inflammation..
You can also be advised oral intake of anti allergics if there is itching..
You should also keep the scalp dry and clean ..
Do not let moisture to accumulate as it can exaggerate the infection..
