Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns. As per your complain, ulcers in mouth after dental surgery commonly occurs due to either trauma caused by dental instruments or side effect of the medications commonly antibiotics given to you post treatment.

Yes, they are common and nothing to be worried for. I would suggest you to do Chlorohexidine gargles as it is appropriate and along with it take Vitamin B complex tablets daily. You can also apply Lidocaine gel over the ulcers if there is pain. You can do warm saline gargles and suck ice pops. The ulcers will heals in about a week to ten days.

Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks and regards,
Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora
