What Causes Open Wounds On The Scrotum Of An Alcohol Addict?

My son is 48yrs old he is a crack addict and lately goes on binges for days driving hours and hours and he pees on himself and let the clothe dry on for hours and even days. He has a several open wounds in his scrotum. he went to emergency hospital in feb 5 and stayed for 2 days the gave him some antifungal medication but it doesn t seem to heal.

Fungi can take weeks to heal in some instances so if it is a fungal infection then he may need to take a long course of treatment.

It is also possible that a bacterial infection may be present, bacterial and fungal infections can co exist , so he may also need to treat any bacterial infection if present.

Keeping the area clean by using an anti septic daily would also be important.
