Hello,

Oozing from various sites in groin post lymph nodes removal is due to Lymphedema. The causes are:
1) Lymph nodes removal surgery
2) Radiation therapy
3) Blockage of lymphatic vessels by tumor
4) The risk of lymphedema increases with the number of lymph nodes and lymph vessels removed or damaged during cancer treatment
5) It may also be associated with infection this oozing pus or serosanguinous discharge

Lymphedema treatments:
Reduce swelling
Prevent it from getting worse
Prevent infection
Improve how the affected body part looks
Improve the person’s ability to function

Treatment options include:
1) Manual lymphatic drainage
2) Exercises
3) Compression
4) Skin care
5) Elevation
6) Physical therapy

Talk to the surgeon once regarding the oozing. Patient must be examined in person assess the degree of lymphedema and any infection.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
