What Causes Of Lower Right Abdominal Pain During Pregnancy?
Hello, I am currently 4 month pregnant with my second child, and i have been having serious pain in my right ovary every time I step down to walk and it shoots a sharp agony pain to my stomach. As well, when I go to sit down I get the same sharp agony pain from my lower abdominal area a shoots up to my stomach. I dont know what I should do nor what to think of it. Please help me and thank you so much for your time.
hi thank you madam for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. pain in right lower abdomen can be colitis, gastritis, urinary tract infection, or appendicitis. first i would suggest you to do urine microscopy or routine test to check any UTI if it is there then you have to take antibiotics for it according to culture and sensitivity reports. it can be gastritis, if pain increase or decrease with food, if there is some bloating then tablet ranitidine one tab twice is sufficient. if pain is intermittent and bowel is altered then colitis can be there. in these situations you have to consult your doctor and should undergo per abdomen examination to rule out appendicitis also. treatment varies for each condition, it will be good to cosult your doctor for this. for the time being you can take ranitidine and paracetamol tablet as per need. if you feel any doubt please ask us regards dr. Abhijit
