What Causes Odd Smell From Nose After Flu Shot?

I've gotten the flu shot a few days ago, since then I've had an odd lingering smell in my nose and I can't point out what it is. It's very elusive but I've had the same smell in my nose when I was sick as a child when I had chicken pox. What could this be?

hi
some time after viral illness especially upper respiratory tract infection, there may be damage to olfactory receptor neurons .
Damage to these neurons could end in the inability to correctly encode a signal representing a particular odor, which would send an erroneous signal to the odor processing center, the olfactory bulb.this results in different smell sensation feeling.

there is no specific treatment available but it is a peripheral defect in the pathway and most of the time it is the reversible condition
