What Causes Numbness In Foot And Patch Of Dry Skin On Ankle?

Hey there, I m 21 years old and for the past 3 days the top side of my left foot has been mostly numb, no tingling sensation just numbness, no pain either. I just identified a small circular patch of dry skin just below the ankle (topmost part of my foot). I have very inactive, as well as very active periods. I m 6 feet/roughly 183 cm tall and to my knowledge have no allergies. I am not taking any medication at the moment.

Hi,

This can be find out by skin biopsy of that site, serologic phenolic glycolipid-1 and lipoarabinomannan, it should be seen by physician. These tests can rule out few diseases or it might be insect bite. It can be seen by skin specialist. If you are anxious or not feel good do some breathing exercise, meditation, listen calming music [take away psychological relationship of disease] ombw is a good option.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
