What Causes Numbness And Tingling Sensation In The Fingers, Palms And Soles?

I have numbness and light burning sensation, tingling in my fingers and palms on both hands - I also have the burning sensation/slight numbness on the bottom of my feet. I ve been taking Vitamin B complex for several weeks and Vitamin C supplements. Hands feel even more numb when I wake up in the morning. Cold (ice packet) makes my hands feel much better. Without that the hands feel a little swollen and don t bend very well without pain.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi,

I would explain that your symptoms could be related to arthritis or peripheral neuropathy.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation, vitamin B12 plasma levels and vitamin D plasma levels, HbA1C) and nerve conduction studies for neuropathy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
