Hello,
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.
Most of the nose bleeding (epistaxis) in teen agers is because of traumatic injury to mucosa of nose.

Following instructions may help use to stop and prevent the further bleeding;
When there is bleeding make him to sit in sitting position(upright) hold the nose closed with fingers for 10 minutes.
Don't blow nose to hardly.
Use liquid parafene at regular intervals of 2-4 hours.
Yes, You must visit a doctor or ER if bleeding is not controlled and also get the cause evaluated.
