What Causes Nose Bleeds And Headache After Scuba Diving?

Hey, I went scuba diving 2 days ago and had a nose bleed. When I got out of the water I had a very bad pain in my forehead and general headache. It hasn’t gone away since and just there I heard like a popping/bursting sound and my nose started bleeding again.. I am very concerned what should I do thanks. Luke.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It may be due to the barotrauma that is produced when the sinuses are not cleared can cause blood vessels in the lining of the nose to burst. Apply pressure, avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Apply pressure for few seconds, avoid blowing vigorously .
Need nose packing. please consult your ENT specialist he will examine through endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
