What Causes Nose Bleeds And Blood In Spit?

My grandaughter, 19, had some blood from her nose yesterday. Figured it was just from her nose being dry. Today, her mouth tasted metallic & she had a bit of blood in her spit. The earliest appointment she can get with her family doctor is Nov 6th. Should she go to emergency or a walk-in-clinic. She is under a lot of stress with college & just broke up with a boyfriend.

Hi,
It seems that bleeding is only from nose so nothing to worry.
Through nose bleeding might going into throat leading to metallic taste and blood in spit.
There might be having some congestion in nasal cavity giving rise to some blood.
Put decongestant nasal drops.
Give her some decongestant medicine as well.
Avoid blowing from nose or removing crust from the nasal cavity.
Ok and take care.
