General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is suggestive of deviated nasal septum. Based on the history your father seems to suffering from deviated nasal septum which occurs when the thin wall (nasal septum) between the nasal passages is displaced to one side. He should be examined by an ENT surgeon to confirm the diagnosis. Depending upon the severity nasal decongestants or nasal steroid sprays would be beneficial. If there is no response to these medication this defect can be surgically repaired by septoplasty.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
