What Causes Nocturnal Penile Discharge While Having Erectile Dysfunction?

Clear, painless discharge from penis, often during sex play, but I have erectile disfunction and discharge is NOT ALWAYS during arousal, ehich I still experience despite ED. I am morbidly obese with Rheumetoid Arthritis and while sexually active have not completed actual intercourse in seven years or so, so STD is unlikely. First noticed as nocturnal emissions after wife died, presently occurs unnoticed or uninstigated. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If there is no organic disease and erectile dysfunction is due to psychological reasons like anxiety, depression, discord, and stress, due to continuous semen production, it will physiologically get discharged in the night. This is normal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
