What Causes Nerve Disorder After Surgery?

my mom is 81 and has had surgery to install a pace maker and defibrillator as she has ventricular cardiomyopathy. she now has trigeminal nerve disorder. can someone with her heart issues undergo surgery in general and an endoscopic procedure for the nerve issues?
