Hello,

If the symptoms are severe then it is better to see the emergency room, else such symptoms could be due to dyspepsia if happening during sleep hours or patient is sleeping, it associates with hyperacidity, If I would be a doctor of this case, then I would try to treat with tablet Omeprazole once in day with tablet Domperidone. For the immediate relief, antacid can be tried, although such symptoms need some careful attention if it is the chest pain, radiating pain, dyspnoea, then such symptoms cannot be taken as granted and it is better to rush to emergency room.
