Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I've been feeling nauseous, dizzy and getting headaches for several weeks. Haven't been sick but my abdomen feels tender. I feel slightly better when I've eaten but then symptoms return. No diarrhoea or constipation. Have done a pregnancy test and it was negative. Any ideas?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Headache, nausea and dizziness of several weeks can be a serious problem and needs careful clinical evaluation and investigations as per the findings like MRI of the brain and Mastoids, Tests of blood like for Typhoid, malaria, blood culture and sensitivity as such infections also can cause this triad of symptoms. This is so as you have tender abdomen hence the need to go to the root cause. Once the diagnosis is clear, you can get a curative treatment for the root cause and hence getting the symptomatic relief too. Just symptomatic treatment would not help much to cure the basic problem.
