What Causes Nausea With A Rubber Like Odor?

My Mom has recently had sudden health issues. She had a stint put in last week for kidney infection, etc. at torrance memorial. She just yelled out to me she felt she was going to faint and was nautious and was smelling rubber and asked what I was doing? It was strange for her. It has subsided now. Is smelling rubber and these symptons anything together?

Hi!

As per your description.. a stent has been inserted for infection in your mother's case. In some patients stent may cause pain..... so may be in your mother's case that she fainted and felt nausea due to severe pain or may b infection too. So it's best to consult your urologist.
Rubber smell is not related to this condition.
