What Causes Nausea In Children At Night?

hello, my 7 year old son has been complaining of nausea at night on and off for the past few weeks. His stomach is upset to the point that he kneels at the toilet like he s ready to vomit but he has only actually vomited a couple of times. Should I take him to dr immediately or log what he s eating and see if symptoms continue? I appreciate your time!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Nausea can be due to medication side effects, stress and worry, heartburn. What has your son's appetite been like?
Has he lost any weight?
Any fever?
Headache?

With this symptom going on for a few weeks, it is time to take your son to his primary care provider. Sooner rather than later.

I hope I have been able to help you. Please return if we can help you again.
