hello doctor,my son is 20 years old.hes been having high fever at the night, going upto 104 degrees and it comes down to 99 degrees in the mornings(daytime).its been 5 days .hes a bit tired and felt a little nauseous(i thought it was the effect of anitbiotics that we gave him).Must i take him to the hospital? Are the symptoms indicative of something more than just a nasty fever??

Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thank you for the query.
Your son has an undiagnosed infection which is not responding satisfactorily to the empirical antibiotic you have given.
You should take him to a doctor who will examine him and run tests to diagnose the infection and treat him well.
Wish your son a quick recovery.
