What Causes Nausea, Fever And Headache?

I have Nausea and sinuses that feel like a fever headache. I have done physical therapy for a pinched nerve in my neck but done think that is the true problem. once the symptoms start I have to lay done to get relief. I also feel very emotional and cry easily. Crying has never been my thing. But don t understand why it affects me so strong. All tests have been normal. The symptoms are changing my quality of life. Since February this has happened six times and symptoms normally last one day. Any ideas Please???

Hi,

Judging from your description headache doesn't seem to be due to the pinched nerve. A primary headache like tension type headache seems much more likely. It is commonly triggered or exacerbated by stress and anxiety which seems to be your case with the emotional changes you describe.

If the episodes are rare, less than a couple of times a months I would limit with an over the counter pain medicine like Ibuprofen. If more frequent than preventive medication with amitriptyline might be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
