Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Nausea, Diarrhea And Abdominal Bloating?
My sister has been sick since mid December her stomach is bloated all the time and her belly button has shifted and become more of a outtie instead of a inner. She has been nauseated and diarrhea loss of appetite and full with only a few bites of food.
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. Chronic diarrhea could be due to many causes like infection , autoimmune diseases and intestinal absorption diseases. As her belly button (umbilicus) is everted it is a sign that she may be having fluid in her tummy that is called as ascites.
If i am her physician i would like to have complete history , physical examination and tests like complete blood pannel , ESR , USG abdomen ,Stool r/e, c/s and plan for upper gi endoscopy with duodenal biopsy,anti-ttg antibodies, momtoux to find out the cause of chronic diarrhea. So i suggest you to visit your physician to look for cause of diarrhea.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
